Hi everyone, Philip and Harry here. Maybe you've noticed you haven't gotten an Insight yet this morning. Well, there might not ever be another one.

Hold on, though. We're not closing shop. So don't worry. We're just moving around the furniture—a little bit of late spring cleaning.

Okay, it's slightly more dramatic than that. Basically, we're looking at a content pivot. We've encountered a lot of obstacles with this newsletter, and we've decided it may be better to shift directions than continuing to try to clamber over the same hurdle.

That may mean we focus on video content on YouTube or TikTok. We may move to focusing on one much higher production quality podcast that can really compete with the best of the best.

Whatever it is, you can count on this; our mission won't change. We want to help you better understand democracy, how it works, the challenges it faces today, and what needs to be done to improve it.

Maybe we'll come back to writing in some way. After all, it's hard to abandon all the hard work we've done here. But until we've got a clearer path forward, we're gonna take some time away from this newsletter. We've got big questions to answer and bigger decisions to make about the future of Spectacles.

Once we've got a clearer picture, you'll be sure to hear from us again. We might even ask for your feedback on some different ideas, so please stay tuned.

We spend a lot of time writing, but even so, it's hard to know how to say "thank you" to all of you who have stuck with us through this project, reading, listening, commenting, and critiquing. It means the world to us, and we hope the next chapter will be even more fun than this one was.
